Day 12: Time to Start Another Adventure
One Last Breakfast
We got up about 6:00 and tackled the job of trying to repack! It’s amazing how luggage expands once you add vacation to it!
We got things pretty much squared away and then went to our last breakfast. We had some nice conversations with some tour members before finding Martin to ask him a few travel clarifications to make sure we did the train and bus connections correctly in Luxembourg. He was very helpful and gave us confidence in our travel plans for the day. We also got a chance to say goodbye to Randy, Charlotte, Nathan, and Aaron. I guess we’ve become friends because we departed with hugs. When you think about it, we’ve spent a lot of time with these folks the past two weeks and shared a lot of experiences together. Priceless.

Time to Step on the GAS
We are not heading back to Minnesota--not just yet. We are heading to Luxumbourg to meet Pam’s sister and our niece for the 14 day GAS tour. Yes! Our European adventure is not over yet. We intend to "refuel" and then "exhaust" ourselves in our new adventure on our GAS tour (yes, more lame dad jokes).

Because we were joining up with Lori and Abby, our travel for the day was a bit more complicated than if we were simply heading back to Minnesota. Our journey was a mix of many modes of transportation.

Having another trip to extend our stay in Europe helped ease the letdown of leaving our new friends and finishing a tour. In fact, we are super excited for this next chapter--including a repeat trip to the Lauterbrunnen Valley! Yes, more Switzerland! And this time we get to share it with family! Let's step on the GAS and let the fun begin (again)!
